The Jesters' Tryst

The Frequency Mutineers,Electronic Enlightenment, and WFAL Radio (Bowling Green State University) are proud to announce the first all-ages celebration of Electronic Music at a local bar and club. It’s called "The Jesters’ Tryst" in honor of the mysterious past of April Fool’s Day. This event will occur from 4pm until 2am on Sunday, April 6, 2008. Here’s a truncated schedule with time, age, location, and event:
4pm-9pm, All Ages, Uptown Bar, Electronic Dance Music
9pm-10pm, 21+, Downtown Bar, Unity Meeting
10pm-2am, 18+, Uptown Bar, Goth/Industrial Music

We have just completed two promotional announcements for The Jesters' Tryst. These audio files were made by Big Nick and feature the voices of Dr. Thanatos (File 1) and DJ What the Bleep (File 2). The pieces feature music from the subcultures represented at Jesters: Goth/Industrial and Electronic Dance. They are currently in rotation at WFAL RADIO (Bowling Green State University),and thus they can be heard regularly on 1610 AM, Cable Channel 21, and WFALradio.com. The announcements, however, are generic enough to be dropped almost anywhere. So please download and play them to help spread the word!

Advance tickets for Jesters are $3. They are available nightly at Uptown/Downtown Bar (ask for Craig the Bartender) and at CBCB's during their normal business hours. They are also available from Thanatos, Forensics, What the Bleep, Evoke, Knife, and Sniper. Tickets will be $5 on the day of the event and there is considerable demand for the limited space, so get your ticket now!

Jesters is just the first in a series of events we are doing. One of our next scams will honor the last day of Summer and the first day of Fall. This year, the Autumnal Equinox is Sunday, September 21, 2008, so expect a huge Goth/Industrial/Electronic celebration of that celestial event. Please check this website periodically for more data.

Our weekly performances at Rewired foreshadow what to expect during Jesters. So join us this Wednesday (04.02.08) from 9pm to 2am for "The Goth Nite in BG" live at Uptown Bar in Downtown Bowling Green. Dr. Thanatos will be spinning Hard Trance/Dark Tribal with Evoke and SteveO spinning Goth/Industrial Classics. DJ Forensics and DJ Sniper will be VJing using the video art of Whisper Friend. DJ Knife and Em will be handing out free T-shirts and CDs. Craig will be mixing the drinks and providing the ambience (candles, gargoyles, lasers, fog).
